F.A.Q
Below are some frequently asked questions about our services.
Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis?
No, you do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to receive or benefit from coaching. While many students and adults seeking coaching have a formal ADHD diagnosis, one is not required. ADHD Coaching can benefit anyone struggling with executive functioning skills (e.g., time management, organization, procrastination, planning, motivation, follow-through, or maintaining routines).

Can ADHD coaching help without medication?
Yes! ADHD coaching can be effective whether you take medication or not. While medication may help some individuals manage symptoms, coaching addresses the practical skills needed to navigate school, work, and everyday life successfully.

What's the difference between ADHD coaching and therapy?
Therapy often focuses on mental health concerns, emotional healing, and processing, while ADHD coaching is action-oriented and focuses on developing executive functioning skills, creating effective systems, setting goals, building accountability, and implementing practical strategies to improve daily functioning.

Does insurance cover ADHD coaching?
ADHD coaching is not covered by insurance as it is considered a coaching service rather than a healthcare or mental health treatment.

How many sessions are recommended a week? Can I add more?
Most clients benefit from two sessions per week, which provides consistent accountability, support, and follow-through while implementing new strategies and routines. Clients are welcome to add additional sessions based on their needs and the coach's availability. Some clients may choose to do so during periods of transition or increased school load.

What if my coach is not a good fit? Can I switch?
We do our best to match clients with coaches based on availability, time zones, scheduling preferences, goals, and support needs. If the match is not working, we are happy to help find a coach who may be a better fit!
